Friday June 17th - morning notes

We arrived in London last night after a long day in the coach traveling from Edinburgh. The trip overall was really good, although from some of the rumblings I heard during the day, we are not all in agreement. Generally though, it was a Mercedes coach with more than enough room for us, our gear and reclining seats. There was a coffee bar and a bathroom (closet with a commode) but our hosts stopped every 2 hours for a comfort break and for some of the students to get food at every stop. I am truly amazed at how much they eat, a few seem to have unsatiable appetites. Mostly they slept with moderate amount of snoring.... We played road trivia and that was a good amount of fun. Debate over what SOS means...save our ship, save our souls not related to any of those descriptions but easy to type in morse code (we lost a point on that trivia question). No one knew the answer.

Arrived at the hotel, rooms we have been told are are very european meaning small cot like beds, small rooms. To get from one side of the room to the other can be challenging with bags, beds and gear.  Glad to have a place to sleep though. It was a long day, even if the company was good.
