I did not feel entirely comfortable taking pictures of the "airport scene" as we were leaving for Scotland because I did not want to inadvertently photo shot personal items. (But you should have been there.) Matters were very complicated at the airport. First of all there was the logistical snafu of the 27 of us arriving to get on the 2:55 PM flight to Edinburgh and finding out that not only could we not get on the 2:55 flight (because our bus arrived too late), but we were not even scheduled for that flight after all. The flight we missed was at 6:30 am! WHOOPS !!!
The most entertaining part of the snafu was the overweight luggage because RyanAir only allows 1 carry on under 20kg, and and 1 checked bag under 30kg. Bags were opened wide at the airport and lots of "stuff" was moved from many overweight bags to the underweight bags. It looked like an airport rummage sale. Everyone stayed pretty calm while Dr G worked out the new details.
